This month, Canadian Family Physician is launching a new video series illustrating procedures and assessments that can be useful for family physicians. Check out this month’s instructional video—“Subacromial shoulder injection.” Shoulder pain, local inflammatory conditions, and local pathologies due to soft tissue trauma or repetitive overuse are frequently seen by family physicians. Local injections, such as subacromial injections, can be an effective treatment for some of those conditions. The video reviews the equipment, technique, and care required for this procedure.
