    Thank you for your letter and for your suggestion. There is now a national Objective structured clinical examination called the NAC OSCE ( National assessment collaboration OSCE) that IMGs who wish to entry residency in several provinces have to pass. The pass scores are at a level of a graduating medical student in Canada.

    IMG examinations before application

    I suggest universal MCAP-like exams at 4th year medical school level for all accredited medical schools so that future IMG's are better prepared for the Canadian standard.
