The cover image was provided by the Society for the Arts in Dementia Care (cecd-society.org), a non-profit organization that focuses on the use of the arts to improve quality of life for older adults, especially those living with dementia and their caregivers. The society provides an interdisciplinary forum for creative expression with older adults by bringing together academic research and practical knowledge. This issue of Canadian Family Physician also brings together research and practical content to support you in the care of your elderly patients, including clinical practice guidelines on deprescribing antipsychotics for behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia and insomnia (page 17), and a new series in partnership with the Canadian Geriatrics Society Journal of CME (page 40).
