When Dr.Svoboda talked about, "telepresence" in his letter, I think he was talking about holographic telepresence for the presenters who could be offsite but making the presentation in real time. This is the brainchild of a Canadian company called ARHT media.....short for Augmented Reality Holographic Telepresence, which is a bit of a mouthful.
They used the same 3D holographic technology in The Dec 15 2019 TV presentation of Canada's Walk of Fame Awards, starting at 56 mins into the program for a presentation by Dr. Naismith the Canadian inventor of basketball.
This is not a 5G technology . Even Sun Life have used it recently for presentations to its Shareholders.
The presenter would go to the nearest studio for ARHT to capture the holographic image of the presenter. The image is so lifelike in terms of its size , it is as if the person is with you ,especially since they can respond to questions in real time. It can also be a prerecorded presentation.
What it also does is .....allows a presentation to occur and no air travel is necessary. ( decreasing our carbon footprint.) The presenter could be in Los Angeles or Shenzhen. The real time still in place.
The holographic presentation has to be seen to be appreciated.
This technique could reduce costs for presentations for Professional Meetings, Corporate Events, TED Talks, Library or museum presentations etc.

I hope that was helpful. I suspect it may be of interest to other Physicians interested in what is possible.
