Cover Image

This month’s cover, The Scream, features an image of the desperation of a mother whose environment is fast disappearing, the ice floes beneath her being replaced by human garbage and plastic waste. The artist, Andrew Burns Colwill, focuses on environmental themes and likes to work on recycled materials using nontoxic water-based paints. Through his work he hopes to encourage people to think a little about the images they are looking at and the stories they tell.
