Cover Image

This month’s cover art was painted by Dr Sylva Falk during a glorious colourful spring, as new life took its first breaths. Dr Falk enjoys exploring the intersection between biology and creativity with her art. This 2-canvas oil painting of lungs, when viewed upside down, turns into a cherry tree in blossom. A clinical review in this issue focuses on the importance of distinguishing between asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (page 661).
