Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto in Ontario, cross-appointed to the Division of Clinical Public Health at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, a global/full faculty member at the International Space University (France), Investigator at the Institute for Better Health, and Physician Research Lead at Trillium Health Partner’s Credit Valley Hospital and Mississauga Hospital Family Medicine Teaching Units in Ontario.

Astronaut with the Canadian Space Agency and served on a space mission aboard the International Space Station from December 2018 to June 2019. He is also practising as a front-line physician in Canada during the COVID-19 pandemic.
