Cover Image

This month’s cover image was created by Michael Fong, one of Canadian Family Physician’s graphic designers. Wrapped in a miasma of uncertainty, the injured brain in this digital image is brought to the forefront to make this often hidden injury visible. The struggles patients experience come into focus in our editorial (page 167), as Dr Sarah Fraser reflects on her own concussion ordeal. A commentary discusses the importance of collaboration in concussion management (page 175), with 2 such initiatives described in this issue (pages e92 and e100). Finally, a study of female secondary students sheds light on how to better support this patient population in returning to school following concussion (page 203).
