Guidelines
A blog is more informal than print and WebEx CFP content and therefore written in a more personal and approachable style. A blog will still need to be well-written with correct spelling and use of grammar.
There will be no formal word limit, but bloggers should aim for 500 words or less. Blogs that are concise and to the point work best on the web.
Blogs should contain the authors own reflection or opinion on an issue or a situation in medicine or health care. They can be used to highlight an issue or contribute to a debate, but not to be rude or disrespectful towards a person or a situation or to point fingers or allocate blame.
CFP Blogs will be mainly read by Canadian family Physicians and other health care professionals. However, authors should bear in mind CFP is a full open-access publication with an international readership. Blogs must be about medicine, healthcare, medical publishing or any issue that will interest family physicians.
CFP blogs will be checked by our editors before putting them online and edited if necessary. Until the editors have approved the blog we cannot promise that it will be published.
If a patient is described in a blog we will need their consent unless the patient is deceased or anonymized. Please go to the link for our patient consent form.
References can be included where appropriate, but if possible it is best to include them as hyperlinks in the text. Where a URL cannot be provided a traditional reference is acceptable.

Please declare any and all conflicts on interests in your submission.
